If you do want to use Explorer Network in small environments or workgroups, you can by starting the “Function Discovery Provider Host” and “Function Discovery Resource Publication” services, and enabling the Network Discovery function, and voila!

I have other options within backup exec but my question is - is it normal or recommended to have the Computer Browser service disabled on Windows 2008 running Exchange 2007 SP1. Thank you.
The Computer Browser service on Windows 2008 and newer is disabled by default. If you want the PDC Emulator to do it’s job as the Master Browser and not have some workstation win the election (read below what that means), then I suggest to set it to Automatic and start it. So the Windows service "Computebrowser" should be gone in Windows 10 1803 at latest. Turned out, that there still is a "bowser" service, which seems to be the exact same service. I ensured that SMBv1 feature is NOT installed on every client. On Windows 10 1803, if I run Get-Service -Name Browser I get nothing returned - as expected. On Windows
