I'm trying to change the MTU settings on my AC68U for my Optus HFC connection; however, the option to change the MTU only shows up when I change the WAN to PPPoE mode, whilst Optus HFC uses the 'Dynamic IP' option. Do this regardless of using the same DSL/Cable modem provider. Adjust the MTU on the Client side to the hosting VPN MTU value ONLY IF IT IS SMALLER. Changing the MTU on the newer Firewall/VPN appliances may require guidance from the manufacturer, but it must be done.
